Doyle Roller Bar Height Gauge for Big Bar

Description:  This tool is consists of a 1” travel dial indicator mounted in an aluminum fixture that rests on the knife tip. It is held against the face of the knife with magnets. Hardened dowels provide for a non-wear seat for the knife tip.

Usage:  This tool sits on the knife tip and the indicator foot rests atop the roller bar. The indicator measures the roller bar’s center line above the knife tip. This tool can be used on any diameter roller bar.

Benefits: This tool allows a precise roller bar height setting (within .001”). It allows a parallel roller bar height setting from dog side to tail side. This tool can also be used to quickly check the knife height in the center of the lathe by measuring the distance from the roller bar top to the knife.
